| Church Magazine: Men's Group (Winter 2006) |
Our programme for the next seven months includes trains and boats and trams - but the planes may have to wait for next year!
It features our now annual, and very popular, Burns Supper which we hold jointly with the Village Ladies' Group; visits to East Kilbride (providing we can get past the 'Whirlies'!) and Glasgow's Tall Ship - which we heard about from a speaker in September, plus another tour guided by Mercat tours in Glasgow.
Our speakers include 'regulars' Jim Walker and Tom Myles, plus several new faces and, of course, the return of Murdie Fletcher who started off the Men's Group with his talk on Silversmithing.

If you fancy joining us, then please come along and you'll be made very welcome.
We meet in the Laird's Loft of the Village Church when we have visiting speakers starting at 7.30pm. All our meetings are on Wednesdays except the visit to the Model Railway Club, which has to be on a Friday.
Details of departure times for the visits / indoor bowling / meals will be in the Church News on a Sunday, or you can contact Iain Ogilvie (721912) if you prefer.
You don't have to come to every meeting - just come along and join in any time, unless we're limited for numbers on visits when it's first come first served.
Come on, take the plunge and we're sure you'll enjoy yourself - and bring a friend, too - you don't have to be a church member (just male!) to be in the Men's Group.
