One million pounds will go a long way.

Consider that it costs £117 for Aprodehni, Christian Aid’s partner in El Salvador, to build a well. One million pounds would build 8,500 wells. One well will often serve a whole community, so that’s a supply of clean water for many thousands of families. And we can achieve it at no extra cost.

Gift Aid is a government scheme enabling Christian Aid to reclaim tax on all donations of more than £2 made by UK taxpayers. This adds almost 30 per cent on the value of the donation – at no cost to the supporter. All the supporter needs to do is complete the simple declaration on the Christian Aid Week envelope.
